Running is both a physical and mental exercise. And just as muscles strengthen and the cardiovascular system becomes more efficient, the mind also fills with benefits when we run regularly. We'll tell you about some of them:

Happiness: Running helps you be happy. Not only because of the release of endorphins while you run, but also because if you run you'll have better physical condition, better self-esteem, you'll meet people and pursue concrete goals. All of this contributes to your happiness.

Less tension and anxiety: Both in laboratory tests and outdoors it has been proven that running reduces anxiety levels, and not only while you're doing it, but in the long term as well. People who run constantly show lower levels of anxiety than sedentary people, in part because running has a calming effect.

Less depression: In fact, running itself is used as a treatment for depression, and has proven to be as effective as drug therapy. Some researchers have calculated that sedentary people are three times more likely to suffer from depression. There is a direct relationship: the more exercise, the fewer symptoms of depression.

Better quality of life: People who run report having a better quality of life. Just three months of running regularly has proven to be enough to significantly increase people's perception of quality of life.

Better personality: A study found that people who had exercised regularly for four years or more were more energetic, graceful, patient, ambitious, easygoing, optimistic and had a better character than people who were just starting to exercise.

Better mental functioning: Several studies have found that exercise improves mental functioning, and have proven it through subjects who obtained better grades on math and reasoning tests after exercising. A link has also been found between exercise and better retention capacity (better memory).

So keep running and be happier, more confident, smarter and more positive. Your mind is asking for it.
