This Sunday the third edition of the TENA Race and Walk will take place, an event designed for the whole family with the goal of promoting health. What's great about the TENA Race is that it goes beyond the race itself and will have dozens of services, tastings, sports activities, and even a concert after the event.
During the course you'll be well taken care of. According to information directly from the organizers, there will be three aid stations on the route at kilometers 2.5, 5, and 7 (see chart below). All of them will have plenty of water, of course, and at stations 1 and 3 there will also be Gatorade in cups. The TENA race is committed to the environment and will place eco-friendly nets along the route so runners can deposit their Gatorade cups and water bags there, so you know, no trash on the street!
The route starts with 2k of mild-to-moderate climbing through Sabana Norte and Avenida 10. Then come four kilometers that are almost all downhill until kilometer 6 where the hill appears (short but tough) after crossing the bridge over route 27. The last three kilometers are challenging through the well-known Rohrmoser boulevard, so it's a good idea to save your strength for the finish.
Right at the finish line you'll be greeted with a big bottle of Gatorade just for you and a Power Milk Shake if you stop by the Dos Pinos stand. You'll also be able to taste products from more than 10 sponsors, including pancakes, and after all that feast you can get your blood pressure checked at no cost at the TENA stand. There will also be Cardio Dance from Gold's Gym and of course the concert with Los Ajenos at 8:30 a.m.
More than 85% of registrations have been sold at this point and you have until today to register online or at the different authorized stores (see details here). After that you'll only be able to register (if spots remain) during packet pickup on Friday at the Brooks Curridabat store and Saturday at the Brooks store in Pavas, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
